Hey! Im Rafe a Technical artist and designer building in XR and AI

Over the last 6 years I've been exploring and building within the intersection of art and technology. After graduating with a masters in product design I freelanced for some time before joining Seymour Powell's creative technology team, building tools and experiance's for VR projects like Virgin Galactic's spaceship design focusing largely on 3D production. A year later I joined Liquid City, a new studio led by Keiichi Mastuda, known for his film 'Hyper Reality' with a small, highly talented team coming from tech companies like Leap motion, Microsoft and Meta. Liquid City focused on creating films and prototypes for XR and AI, some examples are Wisp and Wol. It was at Liquid City that I found a keen interest in the world of embodied AI. I left Liquid City at the end of 2023 to take some time to focus on freelancing as well as exploring my own projects like Vega and Enso as well as traveling. I now work at Portola, an AI startup focusing on building embodied AI companions where I work as a Technical artist/designer. At this time they have raised 20M and have released a very successful consumer app Tolan.
